The Process

FREE 30 MINUTE CALL

On this call, (via zoom or phone) I will get to know a bit about you, what you want and like and more importantly how I can help you! Before we have this appointment I will send you out a brief questionnaire which will give me a basic overview of the scope of work. Together we will discuss the rooms you have in mind, your budget, time line, and any other fun stuff, such as colours, styles, shops you like and any Pinterest images or photographs you may have have sent me. Don’t worry if you are not sure of what style you like, this is just the beginning!

Scope of Work and Consultation on Site

After our call I will send you a summary of what I believe you need, and a cost estimate of work required. Once we are happy with this I will come to your home, take photos, measure up each room and spend some time soaking up your environment. This stage is so important, as it is here that I get to really see how you live and what kind of mood and feel you want to create in your home. This wil be approx 1.5-2hr depending on scope of work.

Invoice and Contract

Once you are happy with the suggested work schedule, I will send you an invoice and contract for you to sign and send back.

Concepts & Colour Palette

Before we go much further we need to agree on the required mood/style or concept (they all basically mean the same thing). You will receive a concept of how I believe you want your home to look and feel. It will include lifestyle shots, a recommended colour palette and one or two furniture pieces. There will be time here for us to discuss your thoughts and one set of revisions is included, should we need it.

We Meet Again-Floor Plans, Designs and Detailed Furniture Selection.

At this meeting we will go through the design plans. In order for us to choose the correct furniture and fittings we need to know what space we have to play with. You will be provided with a 2D floor plan layout showing potential spatial contraints and opportunites. This will include GPO’s and lighting.

Along side the suggested layout of your furniture you will be given an A3 print out of our planned design for your room. On this will be all fixtures, fittings and accessories, such as bed linen, rugs, floor choices, pendants, tap ware, joinery finishes etc. In most instances samples of fabrics, wood, tiles etc will be available so we can access their colours in various lighting conditions. These selections will be based on your required style, sizing and budget and will be from industry recommended suppliers.

As well as a floor plan layout and a visual design board you will also receive a detailed shopping list for each item that has been selected for your room. This will give you the suppliers names, product details and retail price (aswell as any trade discounts that we might be able to get for you). We like to offer our clients the choice of shopping for themselves if they wish, however if you just don’t have the time and would rather leave that to us, we offer a full procurement service too.

Front elevation drawings and 3D are also available at an extra cost of $350 should you need these for joiners or builders.

Procurement

Now we are ready to order our goods! I will finalise supplier quotes, obtain frieght costs, order all pieces from suppliers and have them delivered to your door.

Install and Style

This is the bit I love the best! We will arrange a time when everything has been delivered to your home and then style your furniture and accessories, leaving your room picture perfect.
